Pre-engineered
Job Name:
Bruce's Out O'Sight Self Storage
Size:
60,000 SF
Completed:
2002
Description:
New three-story pre-engineered self-storage facility.
Customer Need:
The client wanted an economical, weather-tight, climate-controlled building to serve his self-storage customers. He preferred the building to be in the shape of a barn to fit into the rural neighborhood.
Special Features:
The building is a Ceco® Building Systems pre-engineered steel building with three levels and a gambrel roof (barn shaped). The ground level has overhead door access directly to the perimeter drive. An elevator provides access to those renting units on the upper two floors. The roof was constructed with a precolored standing seam, which is very durable, visible, and attractive.
"Based on comments from our tenants, newspaper articles about upscale facilities, and articles in trade magazines, it's becoming more and more evident to us that our self-storage facility may just be the finest facility of its kind in America. One thing is evident, we are arguably the finest in America, and Vanderwerff Construction built it."
